Born and raised in Hamilton, Philip graduated from McMaster University in 2007 where he received an Honours Bachelor of Science. Following that Philip attended McMaster University to complete a Master of Science degree, specializing in genetics and developmental biology. In his Masters, Philip was able to publish his work in a number of respected peer reviewed science journals. Following the completion of his Master’s Degree, Philip attended law school at the University of Windsor, where he obtained his JD and was an active member of the law school community.
While at Windsor Law, Philip was involved in student government and was elected as the President of the Student’s Law Society. Philip was also the recipient of a J.W. Whiteside Award in recognition of his outstanding services to the Faculty of Law, the legal community, and the community of Windsor, as well as, the Koskie Minskie Prize in Labour Arbitration.
Philip first joined the firm as a summer student, then returned to complete his articles at Agro Zaffiro LLP. Philip took a position with the firm as an associate lawyer after his call to the bar in June 2015. Philip primarily practices in the area civil litigation, including personal injury, insurance defence, and commercial disputes. He regularly advocates for clients at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as the Ontario Small Claims Court.
Philip is a proud member of the Hamilton Law Association, Hamilton Medical Legal Association, and Canadian Defence Lawyers. In his spare time, Philip enjoys playing hockey and soccer, as well as cycling and cooking.
