Ian was called to the Bar in 1980 after articling at Agro Zaffiro. He has extensive experience in personal injury litigation, liability of school boards, municipalities, police and fire departments, childrens' aid societies and other public institutions, occupiers' liability (including E&O coverage |
for real estate agents), institutional liability for sexual abuse by employees, and the law of employment.
Ian has lectured at McMaster University, Mohawk College, Henderson Hospital, Chedoke Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, McMaster University Medical Centre, Independent Insurance Brokers Association,
Annual Joint Seminar for Lawyers and Insurance Adjusters Association, Hamilton Law Association, Crawford Rehabilitation Services, the Victorian Order of Nurses, Ontario Insurance Adjusters' Association, Advocates' Society Courthouse Series, Ontario School Board Insurance Exchange (Risk Management Seminar).
He is a past President of the Hamilton Lawyers Club, past member of the Quality Assurance committee of Joseph Brant Hospital, and a member of the Advocates Society, the Hamilton Medical-Legal society, the Hamilton Lawyers' Club, and the Hamilton Law Association.
