Paul H. Philp
Mr. Philp graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1980 and received his law degree from Queen’s University in 1983.
Mr. Philp practices in the areas of civil litigation and insurance law. His extensive litigation experience includes: counseling insurance companies in all areas of insurance law, including both defence and subrogation, negotiating settlements and appearing before all levels of courts in Ontario.
Mr. Philp has practiced in the defence insurance area since his call to the Bar. He has a focused commitment to serving the interest of insurance clients, and has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the law and a professional expertise, which enable him to effectively represent insurers, both at trial and in the settlement process.
Mr. Philp has been on many community boards including that for the Legal Aid Committee, Hamilton Area as well as Amity Goodwill Industries. He is currently the Chairman of the Board for Hillfield Strathallan College.
