James H. Aire
James was born and raised in Hamilton and he was called to the Bar in 2005 after completing his articles with Agro Zaffiro LLP.
He completed his undergraduate honours degree in Criminology at Carleton University where he also played two seasons on the varsity soccer team. James completed his law degree at the University of Windsor while working as a Customs Inspector and Immigration Officer at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ontario.
James' areas of practice are mainly within the realm of civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation, construction liens, insurance fraud, bankruptcy and insolvency, and product liability.
James is also experienced in various Criminal Code matters and provincial offence matters within the jurisdiction of the Ontario Court of Justice.
James also has experience as a solicitor involving real estate ranging from buying and selling to mortgages and leases, as well as, business law.
His past community service includes Crime Stoppers of Hamilton where he served as a Board Member and Executive Officer for several years, Student Chair of the Windsor Law Alumni Committee, Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Coach, and Sigma Pi Fraternity International – Eta Rho Chapter as Vice-President and Treasurer.
James is a member of the Hamilton Law Association and currently sits on the Bench and Bar Committee of the Hamilton Law Association. He has also been a contributor to several continuing education seminars focusing on commercial litigation.
